The Credit Union hosted the formal launch of the Cultivate Farm Finance brand on Thursday, 26 May 2022 in Ballinrobe, where the Credit Union was so grateful for the assistance of the Cultivate team, IFA representatives and local stakeholders including Accountants, Estate Agents, Teagasc Officers and last but certainly not least, some members of the local farming community. The launch seemed to be really well received by the Ballinrobe community with MidWest radio in attendance for the greater part of the day and a very enjoyable occasion it turned out to be.
By way of some historical context, a number of credit unions set up the Cultivate marketing brand some years ago which today, numbers 47 credit unions as participating members. As many members may be aware, St. Colman’s has offered business & Agri-finance loan offerings since 2015 but took the decision in early 2022, to join with and avail of the branding and in the process, became the first Mayo credit union to do so.
Cultivate Farm Finance offers up to €75,000 over a 7 year term at 6.55% (6.75% APR) without the need to provide loan security. There is no need to be an existing credit union member and there are a choice of repayment schedules to meet the various needs of borrowers.
St. Colman’s also offers Agri-Finance in excess of €75,000 for land purchase, farm investment, to give but two examples. Security is required for these facilities while funds are available up to €250,000.
