On Friday 27th January, we held the 2023 St. Colman’s Credit Union Schools Quiz in St. Colman’s College, Claremorris.
Well done to all who competed, with the level of competition in this years quiz being of a particularly high standard.
In the A competition, Claremorris BNS came out as winners by a margin of just 1 point from St. Joseph’s PS Ballinrobe, with Roundfort NS finishing 3rd after a tiebreak against Robeen NS.
In the B competition, St. Joseph’s took the honours with a tie break being required to seperate themselves and Roundfort NS, who finished 2nd. A tie break was also required for 3rd place, as Mayo Abbey seen off The Neale NS.
Claremorris BNS A and St. Joseph’s PS B now both go forward to compete in the Chapter Level of the quiz on March 5th in the Knockranny House Hotel, Westport.
Best of luck to all involved in these teams, and a massive thank you again to all the students who took part, and the teachers and parents who put the time in to prepare for the quiz. A big thank you also to Roy Hession and St. Colman’s College for hosting this years quiz.
