This week (23-29 September) is Fraud Awareness Week. Cyber-crime is an ongoing threat and here at St Colman’s Credit Union, we want to keep our members safe. Anyone can be the target of financial fraud and scams, and at any time. Your best defence is to stay informed, alert, and secure.
The most common way that fraudsters target potential victims is by sending fake emails that look like they are from a reputable company. Other examples of fraud include Phone Fraud, Card and Cheque Fraud, Online Fraud and Overpayment Fraud.
