At St. Colman’s Credit Union we want to make the transition to college as easy as possible for both students and parents. This is why we offer firstly an incredible student loan rate of 7.5% (APR 7.75%) and secondly, an education bursary for one lucky student.
Leaving home for the first time can be a traumatic time for both parents and students alike. Will they look after themselves properly, make friends and get enough to eat are common parent concerns. Missing home, missing friends, moving in with strangers and being immersed in a whole new world are the challenges facing students. The added burden of figuring out how it’s all going to be paid for can elevate stress levels even further.
The good news is that St. Colman’s Credit Union is here to help. We can’t promise that we’ll sort out the emotional side of things but we can certainly help with the financials. Just as we have been doing for some time now! We’re really proud to have been almost the sole provider of education funds over the past number of difficult years in our community. And we didn’t feel the need to produce glossy adverts informing you how ‘brave’ we were in the process either.
So call in, phone or apply online. We’ll give you a speedy response and some good financial advice into the bargain. And as we add to our product range continually, we hope you’ll enjoy even more credit union benefits in the not too distant future.
The “Seamus Connaughton Education Bursary” gives one lucky member the chance to win their college fees (up to the value of €3,500). To enter the bursary, students must be members but the Credit Union is welcoming new members to enter the competition also. Application forms can be obtained from our office to apply online click here. Terms and conditions apply.
This is the third year of our Education Bursary and has so far been a huge success with hundreds of students in the area applying. For more information on student loans or the bursary you can call The Credit Union on 094 9371159 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
